Discounts Around Lincoln Square's Cultural Spots

Feb 14, 2018
Even outside of discount tickets at the Zucker Box Office inside of the David Rubenstein Atrium, there are more opportunities for patrons young and old to enjoy local cultural performances at affordable prices.
Most of the constituent institutions at Lincoln Center as well as Kaufman Music Center offer discount opportunities on senior and student tickets, plus other great deals. Below is a list of each deal:
At Kaufman Music Center, if you're a student or a senior 62+, you are eligible for discounted tickets to most of the institution's series. For instance, during the Ecstatic Music Festival, students can get $25 tickets for just $15. Seniors can sign up for bi-monthly emails from Kaufman listing concerts that are free or discounted for them. Plus, Merkin Concert Hall offers discounted rates to groups of 10 or more for many of their annual series. Click here for the list.
You can buy $25 Rush Tickets to performances at The Metropolitan Opera, which are offered daily (online only) on the Met website. The tickets, in prime seating locations, are available on a first-come, first-served basis for all performances (excepting the New Year's Eve gala). The New York City Ballet offers $30 day-of tickets in select locations to anyone 30 years of age or under for select fall, winter, and spring repertory performances. Availability will be posted online each Monday during performance weeks, for that week of performances only. Tickets go on sale on the day of the performance from the time the box office opens until the start of the performance.
At Jazz at Lincoln Center, you can purchase Hot Seat tickets, which are $10 tickets for select Rose Theater and The Appel Room performances. These tickets go on sale on the Wednesday prior to the performance and are available for purchase in person only at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office.
